In fact the SMART objective setting process is taught on many management training programs as the right way to set objectives in any situation. There

Guy Advice….

So a friend of mine just asked for some “guy advice” of that wonderful home of dramallamas - live Journal. I wrote her a response that is probably the best thing I’ve written in quite a bit. Perhaps this means the writing part of my brain is going to start up again. Err… Lesse here…We have someone with (and I paraphrase here…) too much shit going on to contemplate a relationship with you - even though he’s having one. Guy number 2 is friend who cares about you, is willing to spend time with y

Senior Year-Busy Year?

Well, I thought the other years before this year were the hardest at high school. However, senior year has been really tough. It’s not because I’m chose to take 2 maths(AP Cal and Algebra 3) in one year. It’s just that I have a busy year. Also, it’s because Physics is the hardest thing in the world. Personally, I believe Physics is much harder than AP Cal. So, those of you who are going to take Physics in your senior year, I have one bit of advice for you. DON’T. It’s a suicide mission. But tha

7 tips for talking about hot-button issues

Over the last couple months, I’ve engaged in dozens of conversations about religion, politics, and other sensitive topics. The conversations have been online and offline and with people with whom I agree and disagree, in some cases vehemently. After some reflection, I wanted to point out a few things that I’ve learned can be helpful when approaching these kinds of issues. I’m still working on these, and my critics will be quick to tell you that I’ve still got a long way to go. They’re absolutel

Timothy & Chuck

Retiring liberal-conservative Senator, Chuck Hagel, has determined what is wrong with America and it it us - you and me - but not Timothy. Speaking to some group somewhere, sometime in the recent past, Hagel singled out Rush Limbaugh as representative of the problem, saying that 87% of the American people think the country is on the wrong track, and that at some point the parties have to come together, compromise, and govern. The keyword there? Hagel accused Limbaugh of being among the most p
